An exciting theatrical journey through 1,300 years of German and European history on the Rhine

Together with the presenter, visitors embark on a journey through 1,300 years of German and European history on the Rhine, which is presented by around 60 actors.

The SAGA spans an arc from the founding of the town by the monk Goar in the 6th century, through courtly and everyday scenes in the Middle Ages, the brutal 30-year war and the terrible attacks by the French, right up to the present day.

The journey through time leads to the grand finale, the performance of the “Rheinfels Anthem” with the lyrics of Alphonse de Lamartine's Peace Marseillaise, thus concluding the two-hour spectacle.
