The 4-star superior hotel, which belongs to the Privathotels Dr. Lohbeck hotel group, has invested a high double-digit sum during this time in order to modernize various areas of the hotel and at the same time preserve the historic charm of the hotel and the castle.<gwmw style=\"display:none;\"><\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tradition and modernity in harmony<\/strong> <gwmw style=\"display:none;\"><\/gwmw><\/h2>\n\n<p>Special attention was paid to the redesign of the reception area. This is now accessible at ground level and has moved into the former premises of the popular &#8220;Backes&#8221; pub. The old reception area has been transformed into a cozy lounge and reading area that invites you to linger.<\/p>\n\n<p>The restaurant has also been extended. It now offers an even more beautiful view of the Rhine and the imposing Rheinfels Castle. The museum has been freshly painted. Combined with a new lighting system and a newly designed museum tour, visitors are guided through the fascinating history of Rheinfels Castle.<\/p>\n\n<p>The hotel's own janitor and technical team, led by hotel director Jens Sebbesse, carried out most of the work themselves. The company was always keen to harmoniously combine tradition and modernity. For example, historic stone walls were combined with light oak wood and modern materials to create an inviting and friendly ambience.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Goal achieved: Rheinfels Castle in new splendor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Through creative upcycling and the use of high-quality materials, the rustic charm of the castle was preserved and a breath of fresh air was breathed into it at the same time.\nThe result is a hotel that meets the high demands of discerning guests and at the same time reflects the history and special character of the location. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Funding from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate<\/strong>, also with a view to the 2029 Federal Horticultural Show<\/h2>\n\n<p>The extensive renovation work was largely supported by funding from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.\nThese funds enabled important renovation measures to be carried out at Rheinfels Castle, which are also of great importance for the 2029 Federal Horticultural Show. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Renovations at Rheinfels Castle will continue until 2028<\/h2>\n\n<p>Among other things, crumbling walls and unstable underground passages are to be secured. Rheinfels Castle will remain open to visitors during the construction work. Although they can currently walk freely around the castle grounds, they can only experience the corridors on a guided tour.
